Do you offer educational discounts or institutional billing?

Honestly, not currently. Ultra is already priced at $9.99/mo for 1,000 checks — it is built to be affordable for an individual educator without needing a school discount program. We would rather keep the pricing transparent than run a discount tier that only bigger districts would qualify for.

Is this FERPA-compliant?

ShaamAI is designed to be FERPA-conscious: student text is transmitted over HTTPS for the duration of each analysis request and is never saved to our database. We do not use student writing to train models and never share it with third parties. Only anonymous metadata (word count, score, confidence) is retained. Before adopting any detection tool institutionally, confirm compliance with your school or district privacy policies.

Can it replace Turnitin at my school?

No. Turnitin is primarily a plagiarism checker with an AI-detection module, integrated at the LMS level. ShaamAI is standalone and focused only on AI-generation detection — with sentence-level detail that Turnitin does not surface the same way.
